So Noctalia doesn’t allow for connecting to Enterprise WiFi (such as uni wifi) natively, which left me in a bit of a pickle when trying to work in the library. Luckily though we live in the age of AI lookup which helped me find the solution. Here’s exactly how to do it:
- Run
nmtui
nmtui- Select ‘Edit a connection’, then ‘Add’
- Select ‘Wi-Fi’ as the type of connection you wish to create
- Give it a Profile name and enter device (usually
wlan0) - Change ‘Security’ from
NonetoWPA & WPA2 Enterprise - Domain will usually be the company domain (e.g.
asu.edu) - Type in the User cert and User cert password (depends on your uni or org → usually the university portal login)
- That’s it! After saving this connection, just choose ‘Activate a Connection’ from the top-level menu of TUI and you should be good lol
