This week I might have made the best purchase ever, and it’s a kids’ toy.
This here might look like a regular polaroid camera, and it’s definitely similar in function, but what it actually does is it prints your photos onto thermal paper, the same way receipts are printed → with heat.
The fact that it’s made for children and that it prints on super cheap paper makes it such a good entry point for those itching to get into analog photography, who don’t want to spend as much, like myself.
And I must say, the quality is quite good!
I might just end up filling a scrapbook full of these.
Yes, it will fade
I am aware, and that’s kind of the beauty of it. I’ll be taking scans of it like the above as well, so the memory’s not lost. Besides, think of the mysterious aura you’ll possess when your grandkids find a scrap book full of blank papers. They’ll cook up all kinds of legends about your youth!
